Southern Skin and Wellness is located directly in the heart of the New Orleans CBD.
Treatment is performed by Dr. Michael Lindley, MD, assisted by Kathryn, RN.
Light at the right wavelength is absorbed by haemoglobin inside the vessel rather than by the skin over it. The vessel wall heats, collapses, and is cleared by the body over the following weeks. Blood reroutes through deeper vessels, which is why removing a surface vein does not affect circulation.
Leg veins are more stubborn than facial veins. The vessels are larger, the pressure in them is higher, and the skin is thicker, so leg treatment typically needs more sessions than the same-looking vessels on a face would.

Expect a series. Most patients need two to four sessions for leg veins, spaced six to eight weeks apart, and vessels continue to fade for weeks after each one rather than disappearing on the table.
Expect some bruising and temporary darkening along the treated vessel. It settles.
Expect new veins over time. Treatment clears the vessels you have; it does not change the tendency to form them. Genetics, pregnancy, prolonged standing and age all keep producing new ones, so most patients come back periodically. Compression stockings help if standing is part of your work.
